Blessed with some sunshine on the first day of 2022!

We just had to take a walk in the forest nearby; a favourite place for both the husband and kids. Couldn’t help thinking back to just over three years ago, when the topic of conversation on these walks would be about the “Grufallo“. Kids used to quietly whisper it’s name, not wanting it to suddenly appear out of the trees. And now? It’s all about “He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named” the Dark Lord (yeah, it’s currently Harry Potter fever in our household).

Anyway… I was happy I brought along my 50mm (which has been collecting dust btw), lucky to be able to take advantage of the clear blue Bavarian skies (in middle of winter!) that fine afternoon. Aaahh bliss!

This was our first walk in 2022 and also my first post on this new Website. So, have I gotten my intentions out for the year? Oh yes I have. I don’t usually set goals. There is usually a theme for me each year, mainly key words describing what I feel or what aspect of my life I’d want to spend time improving on. Is this how you set your intentions too?

This quote I stumbled upon as we got closer to saying goodbye to 2021 gave me all the right vibes…

The answer lies in the simplication of our life. Most people do too much. Narrow down to the most important people and things. Say no to everything else. Less is best.

So I decided to move forward into 2022 with the intentions to focus more on my spiritual growth and deepening my faith, while staying consistent with habits I have worked hard to create these past years especially in the aspect of my overall wellness; continue appreciating the important people and actions that bring me peace. More being, less doing. Keepin’ things simple. Less is best. Less is peace. And for me personally… Less is freedom.

I’d like to take this opportunity to wish you a year ahead of less experience that troubles the heart and to more bright colourful adventures accompanied with abundance of love. Happy New 2022 everyone! Love and peace, N.
