It’s almost 24 months since I have been consistently journaling my thoughts again. There is truly magic in checking-in with oneself and writing it down. Personally, I journal to reflect, release and refocus my energy. This practice grounds me.
As I start my day, I ask myself:
- what am I grateful for?
- what am I looking forward to?
- what are my intentions?
I also take this extra opportunity to talk to God in the form of written supplication.
Sometimes when I get to the end on the day and I could sit down to look over my entry from the morning, I’d ask myself, “What made me uncomfortable throughout the day” and then list down what I’d want to do about them the next time. The best part before going to sleep is to write down 5 things I did, big or small that mattered to me and give myself a big high-five at the end!
My #sayitbeitnaz for the day: I choose to be a safe place for my loved ones.
What would yours be today?
“…I journal to reflect, release and refocus my energy. This practice grounds me.”
